Cygnus Automotive once again enjoyed two extremely successful days at the London Private Hire and Taxi Show. The event at Sandown Park, Surrey, on 14th and 15th October brought together a vast number of Taxi and Private Hire manufactures, operators and organisations. The exhibition was split over two floors; the lower floor catered for Vehicle Insurance and Finance, smaller taximeter companies, despatch systems, trade organisations and much more. The upper level included all vehicle manufacturers and suppliers including Paton's Taxiworld and LTI but also featured the UK's leading taximeter manufacturer and supplier, Cygnus Automotive.

As well as displaying their world beating taximeters and receipt printers, Cygnus' CygCam, the new In-Car Camera System made its exhibition debut. Out of all Cygnus products on show, the CygCam generated the most interest and captured the largest of audiences.

Over the last three years, Cygnus has been researching and developing a camera system to meet all Taxi and Private Hire demands. This camera system produces the best in picture quality and Audio, and by far knocks the spots off the other systems available in the today's market place, ensuring both passenger and driver safety is at the forefront of design. Simon Exelby from the development team said, "The amount of positive interest in our camera system is just phenomenal."

On top of that, Cygnus displayed the latest in Satellite Navigation and Digital Radio. Cygnus can now offer affordable route guidance and DAB radio, teaming up with Blaupunkt the foremost manufacturer of car radio in Europe and the first in European navigation systems. Digital radio (DAB) holds the future in radio broadcasting, spelling the end for AM/MW. However the majority of AM stations you may currently listen too are already available in DAB. The 'Woodstock' DAB53 radio features CD/CD-R/CD-RW Playback along with MP3 and a Multimedia card recording system.
